At Grampound with Creed, we are blessed to have a knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated group of Governors who form our Local Governing Board (LGB).
The roles and responsibilities of the governors are listed below
-To monitor the Christian distinctiveness of the school and how the ethos and values underpin the work of the school
-To monitor pupil performance
-To monitor the impact of Pupil Premium funding and how this helps these pupils to narrow the gap with non-Pupil Premium pupils
-To monitor the provision and balance of the curriculum offer
-To monitor the learning outcomes from high quality teaching
-To monitor the effectiveness of the leadership of the school on all levels
-To monitor pupils welfare, behaviour and safeguarding
-To monitor the attendance of the schools against the Trust and national benchmarking
-To monitor the well-being of staff
They meet 3 times a year and the principal focus of each meeting will be the termly reports created with the Head of School and impact on SEF priorities and data. Members will use this report to steer the monitoring towards areas that require action and a record is kept of the impact that is being achieved.
